The Circle by Dave Eggers
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
This book is one long argument about privacy rights. Considering how much information I voluntarily share as I troll the internets I could see the ideas in this book becoming reality. I personally have no problem with people sharing as much as they do (except for people who share pictures of their food on paper plates). Not that I don’t use paper plates because I do. I’m a lazy SOB so I believe completely in using plastic silverware and paper plates. It’s probably not good for the environment to use paper plates and plastic utensils but then again if I have to wash dishes I’m using water I wouldn’t have to use otherwise so i’m saving water by using the plastic.. Okay I just confused myself further… At any rate, I thoroughly enjoyed this book for the first three quarters but as the book was coming to a close I realized the characters were having the same debate and the story struggled because of it. The plot didn’t move well at all. I still think it’s an interesting read because it raises many questions concerning privacy as well as privatizing certain public functions. That’s all I have for now… Let me zing this review out..

Don't know if I agree with everything but it's a great read.
